Alamo Heights Minor Emergency Clinic is proud to provide our community with quality medical care for the treatment of conditions that require prompt attention. We provide rapid and reliable care for most acute illnesses and injuries including the treatment of cough, colds, fever, flu, acute pain, strains, lacerations and broken bones on a walk-in basis.

Our staff consists of experienced ER physicians, ER nurses, ER technicians, and ER radiology technicians. We take special consideration in selecting the very best to join our team, and are proud of the attention to detail that our entire staff provides.

Dr. Michael Magoon

Dr. Michael Magoon portrait
Dr. Magoon is an emergency room physician with over 15 years of experience. He is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and has been accepted as a "Fellow" in both the American College of Emergency Physicians, and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Magoon has taught emergency medicine to residents at Wilford Hall USAF Trauma Center and also worked as a physician at the Baptist ERs for the past 13 years. Dr. Magoon was the Associate Medical Director of San Antonio AirLife helicoptor rescue for the past six years.

Dr. Derek Guillory

Dr. Guillory is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and has served the San Antonio community for 5 years. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Baylor University and received his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. He completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at UT Southwestern's Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX
